Follow the below-mentioned steps to turn on the two-step verification of the Yahoo mail.
Step 1: Enter your login credentials and press Next to Sign-in to your Yahoo account.
Step 2: Now, on the Right Side of the browser, click on your name.

Step 4: Then click on the Account Security feature.
Step 5: In the Account Security wizard, scroll the page, and in Two-step verification, click on the Toggle button of the Phone number.

Step 7: Here, you will find two options like Send SMS and Call me. Select one as per your choices.
Step 8: Now, click on the Send SMS option. It will switch to another page where you have to type the OTP and click Verify.
Step 9: At last, Yahoo Mail displays that You've enabled two-step verification click OK to Continue.
To generate an App password for Yahoo Mail, follow the below steps carefully:
Step 1: Open Yahoo mail on the Desktop and Sign in with your Login email id and password.
Step 2: Now, Click on the Account Name Icon and choose the Settings option.
Step 3: Then Press the Account Security feature.
Step 4: Scroll the window of Account Security and Click on the Generate app password.
Step 5: After that, in the App passwords wizard, click on the Other app option from the drop-down menu of Select your app.
Step 6: Then enter Yahoo in the Search option and press Generate.
Step 7: In the new tab, you can preview your Yahoo Mail app password. Additionally, copy the app password in the clipboard and click Done to finish the process.

Step 7: In the next step, click on the option Add secure mail key.
Step 8: Enter the secure mail key as you manage it to remember easier.
Step 9: Now, click on Create secure mail key.
Step 10: Copy the generated secure mail key to the clipboard.
Step 11: At last, select Ok.
